Oil prices hit two-month low

AAP NYMEX Oil prices ended last week at the lowest level in nearly two months, weighed down by a stronger US dollar and persistent doubts about the health of the global economy. Crude prices have now dropped more than 14 per cent since cresting at a 15-month high of $US83.18 a barrel

Local shares tumble on overseas plunge

At short time ago, the All Ordinaries Index was 132 points lower to 4,512. The ASX 200 had slipped 131 points to 4,497. The Australian dollar was lower at 86.74 US cents. CommSec market analyst Juliet Saly says European and US markets slumped overnight due to increasing concern about the
