Power firms running ETS scare campaign: Rudd

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has lashed out at electricity generators who he says are running a fear campaign on the emissions trading scheme.
Mr Rudd has defended the amount of support the sector will get under the ETS, but the Opposition says it holds grave concerns about blackouts and soaring electricity prices.
Mr Rudd has told Radio 5AA in Adelaide the Government's regulator has found those concerns are baseless.
"They've looked at all the investments by the electricity suppliers. They've looked also at the fear campaigns being run by the electricity generators," he said.
"If you're an electricity generator at the moment and you are facing the introduction of a carbon pollution reduction scheme some of them may get out there and arc up the fear campaign. You know that's what's happening out there."
